Our newest feature is a delicious and complex cup enjoyable by both decaf and regular coffee drinkers alike. Your caffeinated counterparts seek a rush from their morning cup, but not you, you simply sit back and enjoy the flavor experience. The decaf drinkers are the only people consuming it specifically for the taste. So, we went ahead and sourced a really beautiful decaf coffee from a region of Ethiopia called Sidama, a famous coffee region renowned for its incredibly high quality specialty coffees. This coffee was decaffeinated using the Swiss Water Process (free from chemicals). Their internally developed Green Coffee Extract (GCE) is introduced to the beans and caffeine removal begins. Caffeine ventures out on its own, away from the coffee beans into the GCE until the ratio of soluble compounds in the GCE to the compounds in the coffee reach the point of equilibrium. Caffeine and GCE flow continuously through carbon filters until all the caffeine is trapped and separated from the GCE.
