Bolivia was on our goal list for coffees in 2021 and we are proud to bring our Vigilante Familia two stellar coffees from two completely different regions (Samaipata & Caranavi). With these Bolivian coffees you can expect a very complex and unique taste experience, both different and delicious in their own right.
The Los Rodriguez Family have planted the largest varietal garden of coffees from all over the world, it is the largest ever planted in Bolivia with over 60 varieties. The family hopes to discover which varieties are best suited to the land and this particular latitude and altitude.
Tacu is a 100% Red Caturra varietal coffee processed using the Honey method. The Honey method is where the farm leaves a portion of the sweet coffee fruit on the bean while it dries. This process + the incredible growing climate create a coffee with aromatics like berry, milk chocolate, and toastiness! In the cup, a rich & vibrant caramel sweetness, combined with pleasant nuttiness, chocolate, and a fruity finish. Bolivian coffees have a taste unto their own, once you try them you will see why we are so excited to bring this coffee to a cup near you!
