Many moons have passed since we last offered a Nicaraguan coffee. We are very excited to welcome La Roca into our offerings. This delicious cup offers a classic Central American coffee taste experience. Oftentimes, we refer to a coffee like this as the perfect “morning cup.” We approach this coffee with a medium roast which accentuates the maple aromatics, molasses & brown sugar tasting notes, it is a medium bodied coffee that finishes smooth with an enduring sweetness. Grown by a community of about 65 small farmers who settled in la Cordillera of Dipilto, a nature reserve that contains an incredible level of biodiversity of flora and fauna. Each farm makes up only 2-10 hectares, producing around 5-10 sacks of green exportable coffee annually. This region is located very close to the Honduras border. Specialty coffee is what makes Dipilto such a well-known area. Conditions such as the elevation, soils, and microclimates make this community ideal for exceptional coffees. The coffee cherries are hand picked, washed in the traditional method, and meticulously managed from seed to roastery to ensure best quality.
